Summit Pride is powered by community members, volunteers, allies and partners who believe LGBTQ+ people deserve to feel seen, supported and connected.
Who We Are
Summit Pride was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) in 2024 as the next step in its evolution. The organization began as the Park City LGBTQ+ Taskforce in 2021 and has since grown into an independent coalition of queer folks from across the Wasatch Back, united by a shared commitment to belonging, visibility and community care.
Mission
Whether through social events, local advocacy or charitable programs, Summit Pride works alongside allies to sustain and expand LGBTQ+ inclusivity in the Wasatch Back so that all people can feel a genuine sense of belonging.
What We’ve Done
Summit Pride has helped expand LGBTQ+ visibility, strengthen community connection and advance local inclusion across the Wasatch Back.
Our Impact:
- Helped raise Park City’s Municipal Equality Index score from 37 to 70, then to 86
- Expanded Pride Month visibility through declarations, flag raisings, transit campaigns and Main Street banners
- Created spaces for connection through events including Pride Picnic, holiday gatherings and Queer Ski Week
- Established scholarships for young adults who are helping move inclusion forward
- Partnered with local governments and community leaders on LGBTQ+ advocacy
Community-Led, Safety-First
From local school partnerships to quiet zones at our events, we’re building safer, more inclusive spaces where LGBTQ+ individuals can feel seen and supported — every day, not just in June.
Visibility That Matters
We amplify LGBTQ+ stories from right here in Summit County – through our events, outreach, and digital content. Because representation isn’t optional – it’s vital.
